Far Out There

“SEE a giant glowing monster destroyed… IN COLOR!” (give yourself a cookie if you can tell what that’s a reference too)

Technically speaking, this could have easily been combined with Tuesday’s page. It’s not like it’d be hard to see around all the word bubbles or anything. However, this showdown has been building up for SO FREAKING LONG, I wanted to give everything room to breathe so that it’d feel properly epic. Also, since there’s that whole “Escapist Expo this weekend” thing to work around, squeezing an extra page out of things in advance really helped (and no dialog to worry about either, an extra plus)

On that note, yeah, I’m off at another convention as you read this, BUT THERE’S A NEW VOTING INCENTIVE ANYWAY! One of the few advantages of driving back and forth to a convention instead of staying there all weekend: you can still get to your computer at night to do stuff! Anyway, I’ll be working on Conventional Wisdom stuff all week, but I SHOULD have next Tuesday’s update already finished by now, so THAT Incentive should go online without a hitch as well. It took all year, but I’m FINALLY getting on top of this stuff again!

(Historical Notes: You know how I complain about some pages having too much color in them?  This is a perfect example of where i DON’T complain about it, but why it’s justified elsewhere.  This big, dramatic, climactic explosion NEEDS to have extra punch to it, and an atypical amount of bright color perfectly give it that extra “oomf” …except for when there’s been an equal amount of color in a previous page where people are just standing in a hall talking.  I need to force myself to hold back on the color until moments like this where it’s actually NEEDED)
