Original note – July 8, 2008
I can really confuse myself sometimes. See, I already know what’s eventually going to happen in this story, so doing stuff like this where it’s unveiled VERY gradually makes sense to me. However, since I’ve had these stories in my head for a LONG time, I can’t really gauge if it’s coherent to people who are just reading it one page at a time. Plus, I didn’t come up with this stuff in two-page-a-week increments, so it feels really when pages I’m used to seeing in a big pile limp out as slowly as they do. All that is to say: I’m not sure this page works the way I wanted it to.

Actually, I KNOW it doesn’t work the way i wanted visually. That blurb in the third panel is right, the awkward pause ought to have been portrayed by several “waiting” shots, like back in Page 36 (he said, as if anyone else remembers which one that is). And having to stoop to writing out “LOOMING SHAPE” to tell what’s going on? Man, this was an off day, folks…

(Historical Note: Ugh, Past Me trying to explain this one just makes it even more agonizing to look at.  If you’re this unhappy with how the page is going, JUST START OVER!)
