The Nitpickers Guild Christmas Party 2020 – page 1
IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN! That’s right, as promised, not even a year-long hiatus can stop Far Out There’s gratuitous twenty-five day Christmas comic spree! And I’m especially excited about this year’s Christmas story, and not JUST because holy crap I haven’t done a non-holiday Far Out There comic since November 2019 and I REALLY miss it doing these normally WHEN WILL I FINALLY GET ALL THE OLD COMICS RE-POSTED?!?!?
*ahem*
So yeah, BECAUSE the old comics aren’t all re-posted yet, I’ll be putting this year’s Christmas stuff up on all the social media pages for now. And good news! Because I’ve actually got nearly ALL of the Christmas comics already done (there’s only three left to finish as I write this) I’ll actually be able to get BACK to re-posting old stuff on the new site AS these are coming out everywhere else! IT’S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!
(And if we’re REALLY lucky, I might even have a big batch of special Far Out There comics ready for Patreon by the 25th too!)
(Historical Notes: Well, THAT obviously didn’t happen, mostly because the shutdown of SmackJeeves shocked me into focusing entirely on completing the re-posting process as soon as possible… and it STILL took over a month! But yeah, this whole series was a LOT of fun to do, and was recent enough that I don’t even know how much “historical” notes I can give at this point.)
Reminder of what I posted on page 857. I will repost when we are actually introduced to the first of the new Nitpickers, as it is an excuse about why some of the previously mentioned Nitpickers aren’t there. Though I suspect that I need to mention Count Headorb von Perm, who was mentioned on page 1159 and we know practically nothing about (beyond the fact that they have needed to cancel at least one dog show. Whether it was running it, judging it, or just going to it, is unmentioned).
I’m honestly a bit nervous about introducing the characters behind those names, since people have actually had a chance to wonder about them. EXPECTATIONS, MAN.
