The Far Out There Staff Office Christmas Party – page 6
Under normal circumstances, doing something outside at night in December really ISN’T that outrageous a proposition in my neck of the woods. It’s hardly the Southern Hemisphere or anything, but it’s rarely so cold that you literally couldn’t be comfortable.
Also, I kind of love that some of the most scenic pictures I took around town didn’t end up getting used in one of these comics at all, but THIS one did because it has a fallen trash can. Comedy is weird.

I’ve been wondering for awhile now: how is Stilez’s name pronounced?
Like “styles” with a z on the end, or as two syllables?
I’ve always thought of it being Still-Ezz, but I’m not the Author.
Correct, emphasis is on the latter syllable rather than the first.
I wish I could explain where this particular combination of sounds came from, but I really don’t know. I guess it just sounded “future-ish” or something.
Darnit, I’ve been pronouncing her name wrong for 15 years! Now I’m going to have to go back and reread all the strips with the correct pronunciation in my head. It’s a completely different story that way!
Non-Cannon Stillez doesn’t follow the trend stories often set of non-cannon character interpretations whose in-cannon character has extreme characteristics being the opposite of their “real” counterparts. Extreme characteristics, in this case, being Stillez’s chaotic and cat-like nature.
Yeah, I’m still writing these characters as their usual selves… just, ya know, aware that their “day job” is a fictional comic, for whatever sense that makes.
They’re just normal average everyday people who were hired to play in a webcomic because they happened to have the same names, personalities, and backstory as the characters they were going to play. This is possible because there are nonillions of people in the galaxy so there’s at least one of anybody you can imagine. The toughest part was finding an adorable little girl whose parents had named her the Absolute void Anti Total Apocalypse Receptatron and made her invulnerable, immortal, and semi omniscient. There were only 3 of those available.
There’s not that many towering amazonian catgirls you can cast for roles, either.
That’s surprising, I figured that would be a very common body mod in the future. Based on responses here, it would be very popular 🙂
Despite her wanton planetary destructiveness, or because of it, there would totally be people demanding their body modder give them the ‘Stilez look’
