page 809 – glad we could have this talk
Dang it, I forgot to color in Tabitha’s speech bubble on the last page, didn’t I?
Also, in the distant future, deactivating futuristic ship to ship communications makes a “click” noise just like hanging up a phone. Do not question this.
Also Also, I like that, given Ichabod’s position, his line could be directed at either Layla or the Cap’n. After all, you just KNOW Cap’n Crosby’s given Ichabod that exact same look a lot.
So, there IS a new Voting Incentive coming today, I just don’t have it finished yet. It’d penciled and everything, but I kinda figured getting the actual COMIC colored and posted took priority, ya know? Check back in a couple of hours and everything should be good to go.
EDIT: Okay, new Voting Incentive is finally finished and up!
(Historical Notes: Well, it took nearly five years, but I finally went back and fixed the speech bubble I was complaining about here! Also, I think around this point I had it in my head to have anything Tabitha built glow blue, as a way of standing out from all the other scifi/mad science stuff that glows green… except there’s been so many exceptions to both those rule before and since that I don’t think a distinction ever really comes across. Heck, Alphonse’s computer powers glow RED. So much for that.)
@ Historical Notes: You know, you could just make it so that Tabitha’s Signature Colour, Red, when distorted, turns blue, because I don’t really remember Tabitha having any other special colour moments up until the site change. And “general science” Green remains green, unless there’s a specific reason or weapon that isn’t.
The problem in general is just that I default to “whatever color looks coolest in the context of this particular page” too often to keep subtler distinctions like this consistent.
