page 722 – Foreground and Background
It’s hard to get the attention of someone across the room without the person a foot away from you noticing.
I like this page, if only because it accomplishes the difficult task of having several moderately-large globs of text, but keeping them in the background. If anything, the background is a bit TOO background-y. I had to leave the other characters white, ‘cos they ended up just looking like a big grey blob next to the two blonde girls up front.
And to make up for his not having any dialog in this page, the New Voting Incentive has Trigger discovering exciting new possibilities in the realm of near-to-complete shirtlessness.
Having the responsible adult in the situation always be wrong, and be proven wrong immediately after saying anything, is still hilarious to me.
In the Far Out There universe, nothing makes you wrong sooner than knowing how things OUGHT to happen (a lot like real life, honestly)
Second panel, first “too” is missing an “o.” 5 points to Chris?
I do wonder how many of these typos actually got caught and fixed the first time around, but only on the web-sized version and not the master copy. I know for a fact that there’s a lot of other pages where that happened, so it’s entirely possible that the typo score count of somebody reading through the comics NOW will be a lot higher than they would have been back on the old site.
