page 625 – boooooooooring
Layla may be the best character in this cast for ANGRY faces, but Avatar probably wins when it comes to exasperated boredom. I think it’s those eyes that sell it, but one way or the other this kid really knows how to look So Freaking Over just about anything.
Also, get a lode of that book Layla’s reading. Apparently, in the far distant future, I finally manage to finish that deviantArt comic from earlier and publish it in book form!
Also also, New Voting Incentive! (with a little variety on the character side of things this time)
(Historical Notes: HAH! Shows what YOU know, Past Me! The ACTUAL plan here in the future is to host Becky & Gilb over on blitzthecomicguy.com! …eventually. Oh, and here’s something hilarious: this page at the very start of the whole “Concert/Black Market” storyline had a comment demanding more appearances from Stilez. Talk about getting more than you bargained for, huh?)
There was a comment demanding more appearances from Stilez? REPEAT THE PAST, i DEMAND MORE APPEARANCES FROM STILEZ!
…at latest update (ignoring the re-uploads which only reached here), Stilez is practically part of the main crew, so… REPLACE ICHABOD WITH STILEZ!
…okay, fine, you can finish re-uploading the archive before giving us more updates and replace Ichabod with Stilez, sheesh.
Now I’m just imagining Stilez trying to be a Nitpicker. I’m pretty sure her solution to all problems would be hitting them with her face.
And how is that different from the “solutions” some other Nitpicker’s utilize? We have/will see that at least one’s solutions to all things is to annoy people by behaving like a late-stage Alzheimer’s Patient until they say she’s succeeded and push her off to be someone else’s problem. We also don’t know if she is or isn’t affected by something that is or is comparable to late-stage Alzheimer’s.
The difference is that most Nitpickers don’t have as strong a face to smash into things 🙂
But seriously, the fact that someone as loopy as Aunt Domino can apparently be a Nitpicker means there probably isn’t THAT much of a difference…
Layla is reading the Novel that was based on the plot of the trilogy of big-budget live-action movies that were made due to the huge popularity of the Anime series created from the original webcomic hosted at blitzthecomicguy.com. (There was also a prequel trilogy of movies which had updated special effects but were otherwise not nearly as good as the original)
Layla prefers the original canon of novels that were written BEFORE the Becky & Gilb franchise was bought by a new company and that whole continuity was thrown out.
Avatar probably practiced her exasperated boredom expressions for hundreds of years floating in deep space, so she’s really good at it. Plus it’s probably easy to get bored when you already know nearly everything.
The infinite, unfathomable variety and diversity of the limitless expanse of the universe IS pretty boring.
It’s like “YEEISH, we GET it! You EXIST! We saw this trick already!”
