This page has grown on me the more I’ve worked on it. At first, I was really annoyed at how it’s almost all exposition without any real jokes, but now I don’t mind that as much. Maybe I’m just infected by Layla’s obvious enthusiasm in the last panel. Darn it, this is EXCITING! Then again, maybe I’m just too wrapped up in other stuff to worry about that. By the time most of you read this, I’ll be up in Rockville for Intervention, which brings up an unfortunate fact. once again, I’ve had to punk out on the Voting Incentive. It’s especially frustrating since, unlike most conventions, I DIDN’T leave sometime Thursday, so technically I COULD have gotten one done before leaving. But with all the packing and other preparations I have left to do before catching my train in the morning, I really needed to hurry up and get this update over with. Oh well, at least it’s at a cool cliffhanger right now, right? Oh, and just to beat you clever nitpickers to the punch: yes, I realize its AVATAR who wants to hear all this, Ichabod would much rather Layla just skip to the end. From the looks of things, though, Ichabod realizes that arguing the point would just drag things out even more. A man has to know his limitations.
