Far Out There

There’s very little actually going on in this page, but I like how it turned out anyway. While I don’t do it very often, I always think it looks really cool when most of the panels are “over” one big one. It always makes me thing of poster art, which is cool.

Also, I just get a real kick out of the reveal. Megaweapon’s managed quite a few dramatic entrances lately, hasn’t he? (and all in the same room even!) In particular, I like the subtlety with this one. Rather than a big dramatic close-up, he’s just suddenly THERE. Who would have thought all those horror movies I’ve seen would start having an influence on a comic like THIS?

(Oh, and bonus points for anyone who can figure out who that scientist’s name is a reference to)

(Historical Notes: I don’t remember when exactly I actually came up with the name in question, but I can almost GUARANTEE it wasn’t until after her first couple of appearances.  As I’ve said before, names are always the absolute LOWEST priority for me.)
