By the way, if Layla’s dress looks kind of familiar, you must have watched Digimon, ‘cos it’s basically a purple version of Mimi’s season one outfit. I could probably make up an excuse about Mimi being the prototypical girly-girl for a generation of young anime fans, and thus appropriate for Layla’s current quest… but I’d be lying. I just wanted to have a Digimon shout-out in the comic, it’s been a while.

Also by the way, there’s a new voting incentive up, that’s a little… different than usual. (Don’t read too much into it, I just wanted to draw something out of the ordinary, that’s all)

(Historical Notes: …it was that one of Layla crying, in case you were wondering.  Eventually, I guess that did end up becoming plot relevant.  Also, I know I already talked about this on the previous page, but MAN it’s weird seeing Layla drawn so skinny.  This looks more like how I’d draw somebody like Jenna or May these days, not her.)
