Page 266 – Maybe they got lost?
Wow… not a SINGLE page of yellow-tinted-everything. I feel so… liberated! Actually, that one panel of purple light was really hard to figure out, especially after having gotten used to doing it all in yellow.
But enough about that, you NEED to go vote for Far Out There on Tom Web Comics right now. Why? ‘Cos I just loaded the most disgustingly, sickeningly adorable thing I’ve ever drawn as an incentive. You KNOW you wanna see!
(Historical Notes: There’s a funny SmackJeeves comment about wanting to know what the Incentive was but not being able to find out because of all the time that’d past… funny because, at this point, I’m not sure either.)
At the bottom of the page, you ask so nicely to turn off ad blockers. I did, many pages ago. Well, I got a little brain worm today and went looking for the ads I’ve no longer been blocking. Huh. I turn the blocker on again, it says it blocked 2 ads. /shrug/ Back to the whitelist, reload the page … still no ads. The best kind of ads: invisible. Cool
Huh, that’s interesting. The ad shows up while MY adblocker is off (a single ad underneath the comments) If anything, I’m more intrigued why it would say it blocked TWO things instead of just the one.
That Comicad.net thing is an ad? I thought that was a banner you put there. It shows up with and without my blocker. /again shrug/ No biggy, as long nothing is broken for you, I’m good.
Wait, this in page 266? I’ve got nearly 1000 comics to get caught up with? Cool!!!
More like 2000, if you include all the vote incentives! (Important plot related storyline stuff in those incentives, but read the main comic first as there may be spoilers)
Thanks for the heads up. Gonna be a while and I don’t want to burn out before I catch up.
That, and I’m still deep in the process of re-posting a bunch of the old Voting Incentives (Far Out There existed on SmackJeeves a LOOOONG time before this page was set up, and the restoration process is still a ways left from being finished)
I feel like, though, that there should be a big bolded message at the correct point in the regular arc that says STOP HERE AND GO READ TKSoDD FOR THE FULL FOT EXPERIENCE. Since after that point it was assumed that regular readers knew about those events. And it regularly gets referenced in the comments. Although I can’t remember exactly when that time was 🙁
Now, if any new reader sees references in the comments to events surrounding a “Misanthropic Genie”…good luck! That little bit of background storyline is hidden somewhere deep in the darkest completely random depths of the internet such that only the most dedicated FOT fan sleuths can nitpick out its location! If you can find it, you win a prize!
You know, I’m still trying to decide the best way to repost the Misanthrope Genie comics, to make it a BIT more accessible to people without being TOO obvious…
