page 1360 – The Cast Gradually Returns To Life
Fun Fact: I specifically threw all my bed sheets into the laundry and then DIDN’T re-make the bed afterwards specifically to make it too inconvenient for me to just flop into bed before this comic was done… because I had a fairly busy weekend, and if flopping into bed regardless of whether or not I’d gotten the comic finished was an option, I probably would have. These are clearly the actions of a person with a REALLY healthy work cycle!
But anyway, yeah! We’re back! Sorry again for not cranking out an extra page after last week’s April Fool thing, but… well, see the above paragraph, among other things. I actually have made some real breakthroughs on building up a backlog of rough drafts for future comics, though. It’s still not as good as having extra real, finished comics as a buffer, but it ought to help out quite a bit. As usual, though, there should be a fresh TWC Voting Incentive up on Friday!
EDIT: I am very sleepy AGAIN, but the fresh TWC Voting Incentive is up!
@ Author’s Comment: Eh, you didn’t do anything wrong. The fact that you generally want to give something in addition to the promised page of free content every week for special occasions shouldn’t be held against you when you fail to do so. I’m just appreciative that you DO allow us to read your amusing comic for free.
Oh, and I gave a generalised overview on how I think that the Governmental Layers in FOT could work on the previous page. One that allows for a singular universal currency (because I can’t see you actually ever choosing to talk about currency conversions in FOT) alongside a lot of variation for individual planets & space stations.
Short version: The Universal/Galactic Government literally only cares about everyone having a singular universal currency, and the layers beneath them are a chaotic mess of “Who is important varies WILDLY depending on where you are”. While I actually said it shouldn’t be the case on the previous page, you COULD have it extend to the point where Local Governmental Bodies have more authority than the Planetary Government. Like a planet that is effectively ruled by a coalition of 3 to 10 Space Port Cities which can and will overrule or ignore the Planetary Government’s laws when it suits them, with the Planetary Government only really having sufficient authority to arbitrate between two or more feuding Space Port Cities.
