page 1343 – typical Far Out There page
I think the previous page and this one together provide the most all-encompassing picture of Layla as a character. She goes through the trouble of expressing affecting in a way that doesn’t necessarily LOOK like a show of affection, in order to avoid any signs of weakness… only to turn around and do the sappy, vulnerable thing anyway. That is the Layla Eexperience.
Okay, so update/warning/whatever time: This Thursday is when I would normally bash out the next TWC Voting Incentive. This Thursday is also Halloween, when I would normally have a special extra page to go up. I have not even STARTED working on the Halloween page yet, I’m basically going to jump straight into that as soon as I’ve finished posting this thing. So, basically, there’s a very real possibility that I won’t have enough gas left in the tank to get a new TWC thing done this week. I dunno, we’ll see. I certainly WANT to get a fresh one done, especially since I hate to start off a new month by missing something right away, but it remains to be seen if I’ll have the energy left to get anything done in time. But yeah, in the meantime, be sure to check back here on Thursday for something SPOOOOOOOKY!
@ Hover Text: Just presume that Trigger was re-positioned for the comic to make it obvious that they were looking at each other’s faces. Like, even without the obstruction, Trigger looks to be parallel to Layla in panel 1, which is 100% simply moving him for in-comic image & intent clarity. Trigger’s actual position would probably be half-way across Layla’s chest in panels 1 & 2, which makes for confusing intention of image if shown properly.
