page 13 – Coming To take Me Away, Ha Haaa!
Original note – Mar 01, 2008
I like funny signs, especially when they have very little to do with the rest of the scene. Speaking of which, I’m finally starting to get the hand of warping text around. Now it only looks SORT of lame.
Eer, you might have noticed that a certain Nitpicker whose appearance I made a big deal about a few pages ago isn’t really doing a whole lot right now. Give it time, these kids take a lot more introducing than Ichabod does.
Oh, and I like how Trigger never questions the fact that Layla’s the one who decides how long he stays at the Loony Bin. The boy’s clearly learned one of life’s most important lessons early on: DO WHAT THE WOMAN SAYS.
(Historical Note: This is one of the few pages that comes close to acknowledging the fact that Layla and Trigger were originally intended to be the same age, with her just ACTING older. Thankfully I realized how much that didn’t work pretty quick)
I’ve wondered why Trigger never was more upset with Layla and her dad for actually being the ones keeping him locked up in a hole. But, then again, it is Trigger. We’ve only ever seen him get upset over wrongs done to someone else.
He’s probably too let down over not getting to play around with all that terraforming technology to be worried about minor details like his entire life being a lie
