Far Out There

…and the funniest thing is, the whole reason I did this page in color was to emphasize just how drab and colorless this planet is!

Well, as you read this, I’m heading off to Katuscon to raise all kinds of heck. If you’re reading this because you stumbled onto one of my handouts this weekend… Well, I’m sorry.

Speaking of this weekend, Far Out There turns a whopping ONE YEAR OLD tomorrow! Be sure to set something on fire in celebration! (and come back here for birthday well wished and stuff)

Also, as always, don’t be shy about submitting characters for the Far Out There Cameo Fest! I’ve already received a TON of submissions, but there’s always room for more! (once again, check the forums for rules and whatnot)

(Historical Notes: The OTHER reason I did this page is full color was because it was the first real debut of most of the characters’ new winter outfits, and I wanted to make sure the color schemes were clearly established right off the bat.  I still do this with significant design revisions, though it’s usually just one panel that gets colored in rather than the whole thing.  If I really wanted to sell the barren bleakness of the planet, though, I should have dressed them in more colorful clothes, rather than lots of blacks and browns and dark purples)
