page 1174 – Oh right, that was a plot point
First off, I just want to state for the record that I did NOT rewrite this comic to reference the comment last page about May still being “Mariska’s problem.” The dialog for this was comic written months ago, it just so happens to have randomly been the exact same wording as a comment written a few days ago. Frankly, I think that’s awesome. And yeah, just in case you thought this development had been forgotten about… well, that’s apparently what Ichabod was hoping for too, but NOPE! He’s still stuck with the kid!
Anyway, I’ve made the “now Far Out There is REALLY back!” joke already, but this time it feels especially appropriate. I didn’t even get started inking this page until, like, 5 or 6 in the morning. If you’ll recall, I said I was gonna get back into re-posting Conventional Wisdom material again, and… well, I’ve still got some learning to do if I’m gonna balance all these various work loads. It’s do-able, but I’m gonna have to limit myself to no more than one batch of comics per week if I’m still gonna have time for everything else. That and not fall down a Google Earth rabbit hole every time I try to double check the address of some random restaurant from seven years ago.
Ichabod is all Why did you have to bring that up!
Pretty sure he was deliberately trying to not do anything that might have reminded May about officially actually being his apprentice.
Incentive:
The blue glowyness is getting worse! 🔹 BLUE ALERT 🔹 BLUE ALERT 🔹 THIS IS NOT A DRILL
😛
If it was anybody else, Ichabod probably could have gotten away with it for at least a little while. If nothing else, he probably could have gotten out of the room before May remembered. Unfortunately, this is Mariska. She and Ichabod have got each other’s numbers like NOBODY else.
So even Ichabod’s Girlfriend has less ability to rat him out for his own despair than Mariska? Good to know.
Well, SHE’D have less of an inclination to do so. With Mariska, there’s more of that sibling-ish willingness to mess with each other.
