page 1173 – Well, what ELSE would you expect?
The longer you hang around Ichabod, the more you just come to expect some crap from him whenever ANYTHING happens. Like, even other Nitpickers have gotta get sick of it pretty soon.
Not a whole heck of a lot to say about this one, honestly. Originally, there was supposed to be one or two more pages of Layla & The Boys before we cut to something else, but then I wound up stretching their latest bit out by a few extra pages at the last minute. So, at the last minute again, I reshuffled a bunch of pages to go ahead and get more characters back in the action again. I mean, holy crap, how long has it been since I actually drew Mariska in a real page?
Other than that, not to much going on. I’ve spent so much time focusing on Far Out There that it’s WAAAAAY past time that I got back to working on Conventional Wisdom again, so I’ll probably be putting more energy into that for the near future. Hopefully I’ve gotten into the groove of this new schedule enough that I won’t lose track of anything that’s due… HOPEFULLY.
OH! And before I forget: Yes, there IS a new TWC Voting Incentive too!
And thus, Ichabod is glad that May is still (mostly) Mariska’s problem.
Incentive:
I think the colour means we’re almost there.
Funny you should mention that…
And also, do the color bits remind you of anything?
Blue glowyness has never been a good thing in this comic.
There was the popcorn maker, the blue spiky thing that disabled the ship and tried to eat holo-Alphonse, and, of course… the energy field that was feeding into that universe-eating void…
…and if Avi ever started glowing, there’d be him too 🙂
Avi would only literally glow if something was put onto him, so he could glow any colour. Unless you had him eat something that, when digested, caused the person’s skin to glow, but Tarkus would know about that beforehand (because something like that in FOT would certainly have some sort of negative impact on the body, even if it’s something that most can/will ignore due to the overall effect being relatively minor), and thus try to stop him from eating it. Admittedly, nobody ever listens to Tarkus, but still.
@ Incentive: Well, the layout and make up of that tunnel changed rapidly. Is that garbage, or accidentally grown crystals? I WANT to say crystals, but the presence of what seems to be a barrel makes me second guess that answer.
@ Comic: Ichabod doesn’t have the right to criticise other’s on how to look after those inadvertently placed in their care. Particularly since he has a, seemingly disastrous, historical track record with followers. Actually, this page shows that May, may, be the type to (nearly) follow in the footsteps of Ichabod’s previous followers. The part in brackets is because Blitz would never actually do something like that on camera, and thus May’s actually safe, but still.
They’re something resembling crystals, but the tunnel is still gonna have all those wires and pipes and random-mining-whatever doodads scattered about.
