page 1166 – I still think big words are funny
(Historical Notes: Oh yeah, I like how this page turned out. May’s reactions continue to be fun to draw, for once we have a fire effect that actually DOESN’T look like garbage, and even the “generic thinking graphs” turned out pretty well. The last one was a bit of a challenge, because I had trouble figuring out exactly what I wanted in the first place. In the end, a lot of that infograph stuff is actually archival pictures of what the Project Wonderful statistics looked like, so that’s an extra bit of random history for ya!)
Marshall, I’m fairly certain that this will be normal May. I mean, we haven’t known her as a proper character long enough to get a read on her, well, character yet, but being overly dramatic seems like someone Blitz would stick with the children’s group, (previously Layla, Trigger, and maybe Avatar) what with Layla’s brazen greed and Trigger’s acceptance of most things around him.
Oh, but you left out the most important part: how this new personality will interact with ICHABOD!
Terribly. Not only is Ichabod unwilling to interact with the enthusiastic youngster, they also seem to hero worship him, so I foresee at least one bout of depression (that will likely occur during an otherwise dangerous moment) that starts up because Ichabod mouths off to her. Because that’s something this comic does.
