page 11 – Where Crime Is Made
Original note – Mar 01, 2008
I feel like I should apologize if this page is a little rougher than the others. Usually I do a rough draft of each page before starting the one that gets inked. However, as I was starting to ink page 12, I felt like something was missing, so I knocked this one together in one go. So yeah, please ignore all the bad ideas that usually get sanded out over multiple drafts.
The funny thing is, this page actually has a LOT of homework involved in it. I didn’t make up any of the names in the second panel, they’ve all go interesting stories behind them. Oh, and that “overunity device” is a mish-mash of about half a dozen perpetual motion machines that don’t work. Thank you Wikipedia for your wealth of public domain pictures!
(Historical Note: Wow, to think there was a time when I actually drew multiple drafts of every aspect of a page. These days, when every panel is a whole page drawn separately, I’m lucky if I have time to draw even ONE rough pass at the page to figure out what I’m doing)
@alt text – no, the names are all correct (per Wikipedia, which is NEVER wrong). Your mistake was in thinking you had made an error, when in fact you hadn’t. And, even worse, having researched them, now I’ve learned 3 more useless pieces of information to clog up my brain. Thanks.
