Far Out There

Holy Snap, has it really been a year since we last saw Madam Ventricle and Kiki? Man, I was REALLY hoping I’d have chance to use them again before now. Yet more proof that I really gotta stop letting these plots sprawl out so long.

Speaking of characters we haven’t seen in a long time, I do believe I spy Dr. Cruise Vanderslice in the back there. Actually, I’d intended to feature him up front with the returning ladies, but… well… I kinda got all caught up in the excitement of drawing the others again and kinda forgot about him.

Also, I’m still not sure I like the sparseness of the room where this mad science party seems to be going down. Aside from the fact that it was easier to draw that a lushly-decorated room, a sterile blue environment seemed very fitting for a bunch of mad scientists. Plus, the only Christmas party I’ve been to all year was in a barren library basement, which might have influenced my creative process a touch.
