Happy Father’s Card 2025
DANG IT! I forgot to tease that a holiday page was coming AGAIN! Ugh, well, hello to the two people who happen to stumble on to this comic the day it’s relevant, and sorry to everyone who only sees it later in the week after I link back here in the commentary for page 1370. Also, if you like seeing Madam Ventricle and Kiki again, then here’s a friendly reminder that they’re also staring in the current series of TWC Voting Incentives!
But anyway, page 1370 was already fully written and penciled before I even started working on this, so HOPEFULLY the usual weekly update routine won’t be affected by this extra doodad getting done as well.

Just pudding? Not Sentient Megolomaniacal Pudding or Masogentes Genocide Pudding? As Mad Science goes, Dad got off easy, that’s a very harmless and generally delicious result.
Yeah, but we don’t know what Papa Ventricle’s taste in pudding is. It may have been his very least favorite flavor.
There’s also the fact that they turned the shed into a “Mountain” of Pudding, specifically. The shed was likely destroyed and it, with everything non-living inside, was turned into pudding. And then multiplied in volume by dozens of times. Likely doing at least water damage to the house, ignoring the efforts needed to dig it out. The shed was the only thing mentioned because it was the only thing lost.
It seems likely that she’s using that figuratively, describing a shed-sized pile of something as a mountain because it’s large relative to the normal amounts one finds pudding in. If not, and its actual mountain sized, then even better! They’re rich from selling billions of tons of valuable pudding on the local Pudding Commodities Market, and twice that much if you sell it to the Pudding Cult. Although, really, who wants to deal with those creepy puddingophiles even if they do pay well? Not to mention, they’ve solved Intergalactic World Hunger!
Just thinking out loud here, but it occurs to me that this comic kind of has a lot of wealthy characters, and might benefit from some increased variety. Like, maybe the Ventricle family are part of some planet’s aristocracy (hence the “Madam” title) and have access to vast wealth in THEORY, but it’s a huge ordeal to ever get their hands on any of it in practice. It could be that they coast on their lineage and the IDEA that they’re rich more than actually having money for real. I dunno, I’ve been awake for a while now and I’m rambling.
“Oh to live on pudding mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons
You can’t be twenty on pudding mountain
Though you’re thinking that
You’re leaving there too soon…”
(Look it’s where my brain went)
I actually, non-figuratively LOL’d over that.
