AND IT BEGINS!  Yes, we now kick off another 25 straight days of gimmicky holiday goodness!  And seeing as how last year we had an actual series of real comics with a plot and everything, that means that THIS year we’re due for another plot-less string of random drawings.  But, of course, even when there’s no story, I still feel compelled to come up with a theme.  And actually, I already had this theme worked out back before Christmas had even happened last year.  I took a stroll around town one night, taking pictures of all the decorations, and had the idea that I could just use those as backgrounds for THIS year’s art!  …which, sadly, means I literally had over a year’s warning on this one, and STILL didn’t quite manage to get all of the comics done before December 1st.  Yeah, I managed to get a LOT of them done in advance, more than I did the past couple of years, but there’s still gonna be an awkward moment two weeks from now where the Past Me writing these comments will suddenly be significantly less Past than he was in the preceding pages.  Then again, it’s already awkward for me to write weeks’ worth of commentary in one sitting without the ability to know what will be happening between the time of writing and the moment of reading.  So maybe nobody will even notice?

BUT ANYWAY!  If you ever wanted to see lots of webcomic characters crudely pasted over random pictures of a small town in the American Southeast during Christmastime, then this is your lucky month!  I mean, I’ve already done individual pages like this before anyway, this is just the first time I’ve specifically made a gimmick out of it.  Hope you enjoy!
