Far Out There

(Historical Notes: I remember this page really annoyed me at the time, since I’d wanted all the Miffy cameos and to be more obvious, and for there to be more in-universe advertisements and decorations all over the background.  Alas, when I took the base picture at a nearby mall, I failed to anticipate just how much Hiro would cover up all the best spots to add extra signage, and the remaining space didn’t lend itself to the art I had.  Looking back at it now, though, I clearly didn’t have a very good understanding of how to adjust brightness or color levels to match the photo, so maybe it’s for the best that most of that stuff is hidden so far in the back.  I mean, it’s not like I’m a Photoshop wizard now or anything, but I can still see an awful lot of stuff I could do at least a LITTLE better if I was trying this again now.  If nothing else, I really should have tried to sneak some kind of weird something or other on top of that one trashcan in the back.  There’s just something inherently funny about futuristic garbage bins.)
