Astrid’s Calamitous Christmas Caper – page 25
AND WE MADE IT! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Another twenty-five pages done! …and once again, I am VERY tired. I mean, there have been years where I cut it way closer than this in the past. I never had to post any pages BLATANTLY half-finished this time around. And yes, I am managing to queue this page a few days ahead of Christmas itself, so my big present to myself will be a few days of NOT having to make sure I get a comic finished. But still, between all these Far Out There pages, Conventional Wisdom, Patreon Stuff, and those coloring books I made for the kids, I’ve bashed out around SEVENTY pages of art over the past month or whatever. I’m a little bit tired.
Oh, but speaking of which, NEW FAR OUT THERE PATREON STUFF!!! Not only have I FINALLY wrapped up the most recent MadLib comic, but at long LONG last, I’ve finished the next chapter of that prose Far Out There story! Patrons of any level can read the comics, though you’ve gotta be at $2 or higher to read the story. And, of course, there’s still my yearly free Christmas blog stuff over there that everybody can read. In fact, there’s actually still a bit MORE that will only be going up in the days after this page goes live. So if you aren’t burned out already by now (or if you insist on keeping the ORIGINAL 12 days of Christmas and are only just now starting) be sure to check back there for that stuff… or just watch my social medias for me to post links.
Anyway, now comes the bad news. Tomorrow is our “normal” update day, and originally I’d planned to jump right back into the regularly scheduled story… but see everything I just said about being tired. I simply don’t have it in me to get ANOTHER page done for Tuesday. So, aside from a new TWC Voting Incentive on Friday (assuming I don’t forget) we’ll have one more holiday page a week from now on New Year’s Day, and THEN the regular comic schedule will resume the following Tuesday. Man, “only” doing two pages for that week will feel downright luxurious. How the heck did I get so burned out doing THAT schedule regularly for years? No, but seriously, the New Years comic will be kind of an epilogue for this story, so it kind of makes sense to not randomly drop a regular page in between them. Yeah, that sounds convincing enough, let’s go with that!
But again, Merry Christmas! See you on New Years!
EDIT: *cough* Yeah… I forgot about the TWC Voting Incentive. But it’s up now!
Disonar’s hair feels an inferiority complex in front of that tree! 🙂
Merry Christmas!
Now, one of these days, I need to draw Disonar with a full compliment of ornaments on his head.
