Far Out There

Looks like all those hours of watching Looney Tunes back when I was a kid are finally getting put to good use! There’s no way this page would have happened without it, that’s for sure.

There’s not way this page would have happened with dialog, either. Not on time anyway. Maybe knowing that I DIDN’T have that extra step to worry about was an enabler, but I pretty much spent all the time I SHOULD have been working on this thing yesterday watching lots and lots of Last Exile.

Speaking of which, I was GOING to put a Guild fighter from Last Exile into that last panel (doing the punching). However, I quickly decided that actually squeezing everything into the frame was more important than making an easter egg visible. Thus, I ended up smooshing it into an unrecognizable, vaguely-pointy robo-thinggie. Oh well.

(Historical Notes: I literally had to Google “Last Exile” to even remember what it was.  Stop with the Ten Years Ago references, past me.)
