Rockin’ Father’s Day 2022
Heeeeeeey, guess who almost forgot what week Father’s Day was? Though in my defense, this realization happened during a conversation with my Mom, who ALSO didn’t realize how soon it was. So it wasn’t just me, But yeah, this is a lot sloppier than I usually like to put out these days, but it was VERY much a last minute creation. Not like Vashti, who no doubt composes and records whole albums for her parents every year just because she can. Oh, and as always with these things, the cover of Vashti’s sheet is a scan of the actual card I gave my Dad, so rest assured that THAT got take care of.
Now, to actually get Monday’s comic finished…
Playing the same tune at the same time, playing the same tune with a slight delay, playing complementary tunes to make the whole song, or just sitting around the room as set dressing? And because all of those are at least semi-reasonable reasons in our world, I’m going to have to add new FOT Only Reasons.
To cover the breadth of potential sounds listenable? To appeal to the alternative-ear market? To make a cacophony of sound at random intervals to make each presentation of the song unique to that audience/recording, increasing the song’s market value? Or to do SOME to ALL of the above simultaneously?
I imagined it’d be, like, a guitar orchestra. Like this, only with less bad fake pipe organ effects:

That would be the second of the first three options, playing complementary tunes to make the whole song. Though, I do have to say, the reason why they picked to imitate pipe organ music is probably because it’s the easiest sound for an electric guitar to imitate, while having a broad enough sounds that doing it via orchestra mostly works.
