No, I don’t know how or why one would recycle a pet, but it HAS to be a pretty disgusting process.
I wish there’d been space to show all of Layla’s reactions in the third panel. In my head it’s really funny to watch. Alas, there’s already been too many pages of little talking heads, and I really wanted to do something more dramatic looking.
(Historical Note: Oh sure, THIS is fine, but when Dr. Vanderslice messes with kitties, it’s all gross and inexcusable)
Isn’t an animal shelter just “recycled pets” (in that people come there to get new pets that previously used to be someone else’s pets.)
That’s totally what I’m going to assume she’s running here. A nice, kind, humane animal shelter where puppies and kitties get new loving homes. Yup. Not even going to look at what’s going on behind them.
