page 1172 – Of course you realize this means adorable war
Okay, never mind what I said last time. NOW it truly feels like everything is back to normal, because I was up until the crack of dawn editing this page. It’s the good ol’ days all over again! Well, at least I actually have some recovery time under the current update pattern (and because I shouldn’t have as many distractions this week, getting back on schedule is actually an option now!)
Anyway, we continue our awkward tightrope walk of remind ourselves of things that were simultaneously only a few pages ago yet also two years ago, namely that Avi is totes threatened by Marshall. Also, he apparently has really wide hands to be able to push all three of the other boys at once like that.
Oh, and in case you wish this page as Tabitha in it, fear not! Not only is there another new Voting Incentive over on Top Webcomics, but also a new comic page up on Patreon! (Of the other, newer short series; the one that DOESN’T star Jenna)
@ Hover Text: I would not be surprised if one of Avi’s dreams is to be the most adorable dictator to have ever lived.
@ Voting Incentive: Are those lights working, or are they dead? Because I can’t tell from the picture, and if they’re working it’s an indicator that we may be near the end. Well, Young Tabitha may be near the end, but we’re following along with her anyway, so it still counts!
There’s always the third option: that they’re on but are so old that they don’t do a whole lot… or there’s a mysterious technobabble field down there that diffuses the light in awkward ways 🙂
Rewording my comment on the Voting Incentive: If the lights in the tunnel are on, Tabitha’s probably fairly close to the location of her mother. If they’re off, then she has a safe tunnel that she needs to walk down in near darkness and may still be a distance from the location of her mother. If some of the lights are on, and some are off, then it counts as being on. If the lights are near dead from being on constantly for the last 5 years, it counts as being off. If it’s a mysterious technobabble field that messes with lights, Tabitha’s Mother is almost certainly working on something nearby, and thus counts as being on.
Basically, I was indirectly asking for spoilers for whether or not we’re about to see Tabitha’s Mother, by asking about the lights.
I don’t think it’s much of a spoiler to admit that I’m not gonna drag Tabitha’s trip out that much farther. The poor kid’s been traveling long enough, right?
Seeing that direct answer, my mind immediately went to “make up things missed, and suggest them for the way back”. You know, like a ride on a Ceremonial Gloop-Gloop Fountain directly into a bale of hay. What’s Gloop-Gloop, why does it have Ceremonial connotations and it’s own ride-able fountain, I don’t know. As for the bale of hay, it’s either to clean off the Gloop-Gloop, or be cleaned by the Gloop-Gloop.
