I actually LIKE that jumpsuit on Trigger. However, I learned a long time ago that any fashion-related decision that I think is good will invariably the considered terribly by all females everywhere.
Actually, that jumpsuit looks TOO good. The whole “joke” was supposed to be that Cap’n Crosby stuck Trigger is something really silly looking, after all, and I think I accidentally streamlined all the funny out of that outfit design. Uh… whoops?
That said, if you wanna inject some GOOD fashion into Far Out There, then contribute a character to the Cameo Fest! The new story starting up has LOTS of room for unique looking characters to wander around in the background, so why not let one of those characters be YOURS? (as always, check the forums for more info)
(Historical Notes: I miss the jumpsuit. I knew the T-shirt/shorts combo wasn’t working out for Trigger, it just wasn’t memorable enough and my vague hopes of using it as a means of establishing new merchandise designs wasn’t working out. The jumpsuit felt a lot more scifi and stuff… but it also wound up not working. For one thing, it was just too complicated, with too many little baubles and details to color in every frame. And the more I streamlined the design, the more it ALSO failed to be memorable. Hippy Trigger would eventually turn out to be just the right mix of distinctive but easy. Still, I am trying to find more excuses to bring back the jumpsuit, just as an easter egg.)
Honestly, even if you don’t put Trigger back in this jumpsuit, you can forcefully put him in one while working on breaking some tech for someone (if the story ever updates and starts having Skye & Trigger interact).
Oh, and name-drop for a character who’s been reached in the re-updates, but may be unknown by new readers who read the comments! You very few. Seriously, how many people actually read the comments when reading the history of a story for the first time? Very few, if no-one.
I always read all the comments the first time through! (assuming there’s not hundreds on each page of course)
I’m probably the only one. Wouldn’t be the first time.
Honestly, I so rarely read the comments on anything that isn’t one of my own projects, I have no IDEA what the general population’s reading habits are.
