Not a lot to say this time around, mostly because I’m frantically trying to get enough material finished to cover my trip to MAGFest this weekend. I don’t have any Artist Alley table or anything this year, which SHOULD have made the preparations pretty dang easy this time around. Do one or two extra Far Out Theres, a Conventional Wisdom cover, print out some flyers, and we’re good to go, right? Well, of COURSE I had to go and get crazy sick over the weekend. I’m on the mend enough that it won’t affect my going tomorrow, though if you hear any rumors of a horribly plague spreading across MAGFest this year, feel free to blame me (Oh, who am I kidding? It’s a four-day con in the dead of winter. People are getting sick regardless of what I drag with me). More importantly, though, it cost me a good two days of productivity, so now I’m playing catch up again. Sadly, this means no new Voting Incentives until after I get back. I’d hoped to have at least ONE new Incentive done to tide everybody over, but alas, I spent those hours asleep in a feverish delirium. I’d like to think there’ll be a new Incentive next Tuesday, but that all depends on whether or not I can get the main page for that day drawn in advance. If I have to dive right into finishing that right after coming home, the odds of a new Incentive are slim. So I guess I’d better quit talking and get to work on that stuff, huh?
(Historical Notes: Huh, I guess Past Me also forgot to do a New Years page in all that confusion. Shame on you, Me. Also, the Alt Text says it as a joke, but it’s really true. For as much as Tabitha claims to not be a Mad Scientist, her behavior throughout this little episode is TOTALLY the Mad Science mindset of playing with dangerous elements with no thought for the consequences, just to see what happens.)
You know, if Layla was here, she’d probably actually be happy about how Tabitha is acting. The only real problem was her talking about the Cat & Dog, and her getting all cuddly with Trigger (to this degree) is something that Layla may be fine with.
Well, it WOULD have been, back in The Before Time…
