Page 362 – Oh look, more air vents
Man, this page took a LOT longer to do than the past few weeks. I kept piling more and more junk into this closet to get it looking properly cluttered, and even now I’m not sure I did enough. I really did the dramatic shadow, though.
Well, as always, be sure to go see the Voting Incentive comic, and if that’s not enough Bridget and Alphonse for you, FEAR NOT! Come back Monday for another special extra page!
I see that the Janitorial Services personnel have put up some posters (Neva, etc.) in order to personalize their workspace…but since when did this ship have janitors? We’ve seen the Cap’n doing all his own cleaning. The Cap’n doesn’t seem like the sort to be hanging Neva Bikini posters, and even if he did, why would he put them in a random janitorial supplies closet? I can only guess there used to be a janitor or janitors, and they quit, got fired by the Cap’n to save money, or possibly exploded.
I’ve always assumed that the Cap’n handled all the janitorial duties himself, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the janitor’s closet onboard the ship is decorated to his tastes. He could have just bought that locker used and never bothered to scrape off whatever the previous owner stuck all over it. In theory, regular passengers aren’t supposed to see anything in rooms like this, and I doubt Cap’n Crosby would bother with cosmetic details he didn’t absolutely HAVE to fix.
I was hoping you’d say he was secretly a huge Neva fan 🙂
That’s not impossible either, honestly. Lord knows that IS the sort of fact about himself that he’d keep locked away in a closet.
